Succession Planning Spurs Website Redesign

Company Size

~15 employees

Industry

RIA, wealth management firm

Challenge

New leadership had taken ownership of the firm. The group wanted to uphold the original owners' values and position the firm for growth. Most importantly, they wanted to ensure the firm was well set up to grow into its new identity.

Solution

After completing an office remodel and brand alignment, the new owners embarked with Out & About Communications on a website redesign to help show current prospects and clients the firm is well-positioned for success and start attracting more of its ideal clients.

Deliverables

  • Website Redesign: The website design was a full demolition and rebuild. It included a new navigation, strategically designing each page, and creating a custom-designed theme to align with the latest office remodel.
  • Website Copy and SEO: Along with the redesign, Out & About completed an SEO audit and rewrote the website copy to align with the SEO objectives and voice/tone.
  • Blog Reorganization: Going through the website redesign process caused us to question the blog content. It needed to be reorganized and cleaned up from head to toe. The reorganization aligned with the target audiences the firm positioned itself to go after.
  • Brand Style Guide: The new office redesign helped to spark a lot of visual inspiration for the website redesign and acted as a visual guide. We compiled a brand style guide that included fonts, colors, logo styles, photography treatment, and overall best practices for the firm to stay intact as it grew.
  • Welcome Video: Along with the website redesign we drafted a storyboard and script before filming and editing a welcome video. We showed off the new office and introduced the firm before prospects walk through the door.
  • Advisor Videos: After the website was launched, we created advisor videos. These videos live on each advisor's bio page, helping prospects determine who’s the best fit for them.

Results

The new website featured more than just a refreshed look. The firm went into the project to strategically position itself to leverage the website as an asset. The redesign allows it to purposefully roll out content marketing to grow and amplify its growth, plus the website experience matches the business strategy and firm's branding.

“Great communication and a team approach to strategy.”
