After rapid growth and being in business for many years, the company spotted a unique opportunity to enter a new geographic market and acquire a small payroll company. The growth strategy hadn’t been strategically around M&A but this was a unique chance to merge with an existing company.

Solution

Out & About Communications worked with the company to plan a detailed timeline to ensure a smooth transition. Transition planning covered internal messaging, external communications, technology, and announcement logistics. 

Deliverables

  • Public Announcements: We put together a press release, blog post, and formal announcements in select publications about the acquisition.
  • Internal Communications: Once the acquisition happened, we communicated with the newly acquired team to share marketing access and training. We also helped get the new team members on the website.
  • Technology: We worked with the team to transition all technology assets and reroute accounts accordingly. This included all social media accounts and the website. 

Results

The planned communications went off without a hitch. The team was fully onboarded and added to the website, and technology tools and transition were complete without the C-suite being involved in the nitty gritty.
